Make them from scratch without the powder. If you keep peanut butter and chocolate on hand, it's pretty easy. If you have Potbelly's near you, they have great shakes/smoothies. It was a great way to put on weight when I couldn't keep things down because of chemo.

It's a feature. Not a bug. Yes, our country needs serious overhauling. So do most countries. *sigh* Too many fail to see that part of the grey...that it's not just happening in the US.

There are more employees than that when you consider those helping children before they start kindergarten. It's SLPs. OT. PT. Etc. Insurance doesn't always pay for those, even if someone is k-12+.

I think it was Consumer Reports that did a story a few years ago that said the land where rices were grown had a lot of arsenic. This is loverly when 1 cannot tolerate gluten. I wonder what used to grow where some of the ingredients in the protein drinks are from.
