This actually pisses me off so much, as someone who is building a world and conceptulizing it and working on it day after day, the most creative thing you can do is use your FUCKING BRAIN to make stuff up and not let AI create it for you.

I hope there's enough pushback that Vincke reconsiders his position. I would really like to enjoy the great work all the devs at Larian are doing without upper management forcing this unnecessary shit into their workflow.

steam is apparently allowing "this game had AI in it that it didn't disclose" as a valid return statement, so if you or anyone you know actually paid $70 for slop, get that money back

Not to be the fun police but I do hope people know that Arc Raiders does use generative AI for voice acting, and by supporting the game you're letting higher-ups know that this is an okay practice.
They try to downplay this on the Steam store page by describing the AI usage as vaguely as possible.

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.
