PNW weirdo.
Uncle.
Probably in my greenhouse.
Avoids chain restaurants.
Feeling very overwhelmed today. Had to step away for a moment. Did some Duolingo instead of crying so I’m counting that as a win. 🙃

There will be another 60 vote Friday* on the garbage shutdown deal. If we can convince just one Senator from the 52 republicans and 8 Dems that voted yes to flip, we could still stop this. Please jump on the phone today, call them, and share this widely.

*If all goes by the regular schedule

#Republicans being unwilling to reopen the government if it meant lower wage workers could continue being able to afford health insurance is all you need to know about today's #GOP.

The fact that we are forced to witness our government carry out their sadistic agenda makes me so sad.
FEED. FUCKING. EVERYONE.
No one deserves to go hungry. And no one deserves to go hungry because their government is intentionally choosing to harm them.
Greatest country in the world my ass.

they don't believe in the Christian God, they don't believe in the US Constitution, they only see power as their conquest.

If you’re on PSP for pride may I recommend a visit to Sherman’s Deli and Bakery.
Whether you choose the Ruben that’ll feed you for four days or the cinnamon roll that is bigger than your head is up to you. Personally, I order both.
You’d be a fool not to down the complimentary kraut and pickles.

So my folks are visiting me starting tomorrow and I’ve been working on the house and I am still not ready for them.
Depression backlog sucks. Like I know they’d accept things without me lifting a finger to prepare for their visit, but also I feel the need to shield them from the full truth.

Boycott companies that donated to this travesty
Comcast, which owns NBC News and MSNBC, has faced on-air criticism from some of the liberal cable channel’s personalities for its donation. Amazon, whose founder Jeff Bezos owns The Washington Post, is another donor.
East Wing ballroom donations by corporate owners create awkward moments for news outlets
President Donald Trump's razing of the White House's East Wing to build a ballroom has meant for some awkward moments for news outlets.

Democratic party leadership has been on autopilot for ten years, they weren't losing to fascism, fascism isn't popular enough for them to lose to fascism, they were allowing it to fill the void where their leadership should have been. Tonight we're seeing that we have other options. They should too.

Placed my vote this morning on my way to work. It should be this easy for all voters regardless of where they live.

This reminds me: While not as nationally reported on, there are two other progressives running for mayor in major US cities. I have seen them compared as the Zohran of their races. We have Omar Fateh for Minneapolis & Katie Wilson for Seattle. If you can vote in those cities, I’d recommend them!

Trump two happened because NYT cynically platformed every worst reactionary centrist impulse as “just asking questions” pieces. WaPo wants to leapfrog to the top of that niche, and that’s specifically why Bezos bought the paper— to convince liberals it’s virtuous to hate the poor in advance of 2026.
Billionaire-owned Washington Post really put out an article about how SNAP beneficiaries are lazy freeloaders and their kids eat too much anyway. Every day is a good day to cancel your subscription.
