I am starting a studio! We are small and scrappy and have no money. Why am I doing this? Because the only ones who can protect art are the ones who value it. Disney using AI? Yuck. Netflix buying WB? Also yuck. In 10 years what is even going to be left.

The reboot of Planet of the Apes has been one of the greatest gifts to cinema. They took the core concept of the original, built a brand new world around it, and (and this was the clever part) they made it so good. They decided "You know what? We'll actually give a shit with these stories." Love it.

#SGSsensei Hi OPP, After the latest SBS I learned Gear 5’s “Dawn” attacks also mean ‘white’ as well. Do you think it’s possible Luffy will upgrade ‘Red Roc!’ to ‘White Roc!!’? (Also, for consistency would you translate it as ‘Dawn Roc’? —if it actually happens, that is.)

What I consider to be the most shocking thing to happen to me this year is that I became a fan of the predator movies. Specifically, the new films by Dan Trachtenberg like Prey and Killer of Killers. And last night, I went to see Predator: Badlands and it's now one of my favorite movies of the year!

#BlueSkypiea Hi OPP What are your opinions on Emet’s voice? I’ve seen a mixed reception. Many people were hoping for a child’s voice like Alphonse Elric. I, personally, wanted a more robotic voice (vocoding, melodyne, etc.) maybe the dub will up the voice effects like they did for St. Saturn.

Went to Brookfield Zoo’s new primate exhibit, Tropical Forests. It’s really incredible how expansive & well crafted this new area is. All the gorillas were having a summer nap right up near the glass. And one brave orangutan was peeking just outside the entrance that leads into the indoor section.
