I guess we're doing this?
How did I miss that he was from Lancaster? Teammate of Travis Worra's at Hempfield when they won the state title in 2010. Huh, the more you know. lancasteronline.com/sports/lnp-s...

God that transition is so clean.

I generally don't put names on the back of shirts as a rule but this guy has me seriously considering it this season. To say he's been immense so far would be just slightly understating it.
Granit Xhaka will do ANYTHING for his team 🙌

Blind RT'd this earlier because Sunderland but can confirm I very much enjoyed reading over lunch (also I already saw it in my inbox this morning - if you don't already you should really subscribe). Mohamed is correct that there might not be a more ecstatic fanbase than us at the moment.
Sunderland probably won't finish top 4, but their hot start hasn't been all luck.

It would be sad for DCU to lose a game each against their two closest rivals but out of ten all-time wins against Philly, only two (2!) have come since Audi Field opened. Add in only a single (1!) Atlantic Cup since 2016 and, yeah ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it would suck for masochistic traveling DCU fans though.
RIP the Atlantic Cup...
The three on the right seem super obvious. No clue what they'll do out west when you have 7 coastal clubs. Maybe stick the new guys in with the mountains and Texas?

This literally makes me sick to my stomach. What the fuck man
this morning, ICE went into a Spanish language immersion daycare and took a teacher from the building in front of screaming and crying kids and parents at dropoff and the daycare had to shut down for the day (near Lane Tech, where they were yesterday). Really hoping today's "theme" is not "daycare."

Missed most of the match yesterday - sounds like could've been three points but happy with the one. We continue to more than hold our own against established prem sides. Most wouldn't have had us in the top half at *any point* in the season - to be top four after 10 matchdays is unreal. Ha'way man
Sunderland remain unbeaten at home this season 👊

Still kinda wish Sunderland had held onto Nectar but unfortunately he was a victim of their own success. Thrilled to see him thriving in Minnesota tho.
Nectarios Triantis is the exact kind of midfielder that Minnesota has needed since 2020. Press-resistent in possession, good reading in transition phases, physical against the ball. A clear pillar for the Loons going forward.

"We are preparing for all scenarios but hopefully we will be going into he January window with a top 10 finish in mind and will prepare and execute the transfer window to give us the best chance.”

Let's get carried away, man.

"They are walking on the Wear; they are sinking in the Tyne" is an all time great call. What a day that was.
When @SunderlandAFC beat Everton to...

🔒 Preserve their Premier League status
😮 AND relegate their rivals Newcastle!

So they're really gonna just continue to lean into alienating all of their fans that actually give a shit about the team. Bold strategy, etc etc

Youtube TV really gonna fuck around and get cancelled, these constant contract disputes are ridiculous. TWENTY (20!) channels this time??

Am I really gonna open up a Costco membership just to buy these? The answer may surprise you!
And they're fucking dope. No reason for them to go this hard.

That pull quote says it all. Fans of other teams talking about how our expectations are getting too high and how much they'll enjoy our eventual comedown don't get it - we have been living in the moment for the past 6 months, the only expectations right now are to never know what to expect next!

I will still be over the moon with survival, just to be clear!
When I wrote my preview for @thetransferflow.bsky.social, I was high on Sunderland. The organizational structure, squad overhaul, and youth focus were all good signs. I remember thinking that if they stayed up this season, mid table wasn’t out of reach.

This is a whole new level of insanity though

I AGREE IT IS EXTREMELY COOL AND FUN
Obviously Sunderland are going to regress to their mean but they are 1. legitimately at least the 17th best team in the league, and 2. now on enough points that they're probably safe, and both of those things are cool as hell
