Steve Bannon has claimed that he’s the guy who “headed up” the “Peter Thiel deconstruct the administrative state part” of Trump’s 2016 transition team and that Thiel protege Blake Masters was his (Bannon’s) “wingman” in that endeavor. (It appears that Thiel has been pulling strings all along.) 1/

Resolving the "measurement problem" in quantum mechanics would be a huge deal. Doing it without any exotic assumptions or additions to standard QM would be amazing. Now, I'm not reckless enough to say that is what has been achieved here, but...

MISLEADING: A new academic paper by @qmul.bsky.social has attracted significant media attention by claiming that EVs & heat pumps deliver no proven carbon savings in UK ahead of 2030 clean power target - and should therefore be postponed.

Here is why this paper should never have been published.🧵

We are not even at mid month and February 2026 is already the most record breaking month in history.
Over 170 countries are breaking heat records and next week will be the most extreme in world climatic history.

At least we got some cold records as well (more than the past years).
