Yes, this!! For every person who has ever said or written the words “But what can democrats do, they aren’t in power?” Please look at what Lindsey Graham just did! Because this is what they can do!! And buying time matters! It delays how much harm can happen. How much Republicans can push through.
Graham objected to unanimous consent.

And he blocked the business of the Senate.

Any Senate Democrat could do this.
NO SENATE VOTE TONIGHT

Couldn’t get all senators to allow a speedy vote. Schumer tells reporters Lindsey Graham is blocking it. “That’s the holdup,” Schumer tells reporters. Graham wants to keep a provision letting him sue to pocket $500,000 over J6 phone records seized.

At yesterday's press conf., the president held up a wanted poster to justify the ICE invasion of MN when the guy was in fact in a MN state prison having been sentenced in 2024, under Biden.

ICE arrested Scott Thao, US citizen, trying to capture a man in MN state prison. Do I have this right?
Reuters has found that one of the men ICE was looking for in Thao’s home, who has been pictured in a WANTED poster and mentioned repeatedly, recently today by ICE ERO acting exec assoc director Marcos Charles during a press conference is in prison in S. Minneapolis. www.reuters.com/legal/govern...

Imagine if serving in government was as prestigious as landing a job at Google.

In Finland and Singapore, it basically is. Public service is seen as a privilege, a place where the most ambitious people go to solve the biggest problems.

That’s the culture we should be striving for.

I really enjoyed Rutger Bregman’s “Humankind: A Hopeful History” so this is on my reading list for January!
If I could recommend just 1 non-fiction book that I read in 2025 it would be Moral Ambition by Rutger Bregman.

It left me energized and clear-eyed with a new perspective on my own values. It's the my only re-read of the year and I'll read it again.

The protocol reveals that the trial will withhold the Hepatitis B birth dose from thousands—without placebos, without universal maternal screening, and with endpoints critics call indefensible.

I need every single person who keeps saying elected Democrats aren’t the problem, to explain this to me. 153 democrats, at a minimum, are clueless as to what is happening right know. Clueless or complicit. I don’t know which is worse. They all need to be primaried.
The House voted 341 to 79 to fund Trump's war-mongering foreign policy agenda.

Only 57 Democrats voted NO.
