🧵Shock Doctrine is a social control strategy that uses recurrent shocks to make people feel overwhelmed & easier to conquer. To inflict suffering, push us into submission, or prompt us to rise up against our oppression in a way the fascist regime can use as an excuse to institute martial law.
Oh my god. And also I'm sure these numbers are much lower than the reality.
23 people have died in ICE custody.

A Chinese immigrant named Chaofeng Ge was found hanging with his arms & legs tied behind his back.

Randall Esquivel was deported in a vegetative state & died soon after.

People are being tortured, neglected & disabled.

Abolish ICE & close the camps.

What is something that brought you Joy today?

For me it was finding out my local library has a seed library offering free vegetable, flower and herb seeds to residents to promote gardening, healthy eating, and local food resilience. The model is "Take what you need, Share what you grow". My people!

The Coast Guard released new video from Op. Pacific Viper. What stands out in this footage is the method used.
Instead of blowing up the vessel that would have guaranteed fatalities, CG sharpshooters disabled the boat with precision sniper fire, targeting the engines to bring it to a safe stop.
