There is, to my mind, no justification for the continued use by the UK Government of X as a platform for official comms. There hasn't been for some time, in fact, but if the latest developments around AI-generated image abuse and CSAM don't change the policy I really don't know what will.

A crucial point. Elon Musk and several other tech executives are right now producing and distributing child pornography, and that is how the media should be covering this.
This is a thread of major media outlets falsely anthropomorphising the "Grok" chatbot program and in doing so, actively and directly removing responsibility and accountability from individual people working at X who created a child pornography generator (Elon Musk, Nikita Bier etc)

i think Your Party are a little stuck in that they have to start doing some Scotland-specific campaigning ahead of the elections in May, but they don’t really have anyone in charge of their Scottish operations until February, so they’re sort of stuck with Sultana (or Corbyn but he seems checked out)
it’s not even close to being the worst Israel-connected meeting anyone from the Scottish Government has had since the assault on Gaza began, which anyone actually familiar with the Scottish Government’s approach to Palestine is well aware of

Unless I'm missing something, and I'm pretty sure I'm not, Twitter's AI is cranking out CSAM deepfakes, Elon Musk is making jokes about it, and nobody is doing anything to stop it or hold anyone at Twitter accountable for its creation and distribution.

NIGEL Farage has failed to commit to banning trans women from female prisons after his new justice adviser said they should not be automatically barred.
Vanessa Frake, a former prison governor who oversaw the detention of Rose West, said decisions on where to house inmates should be made on an ‘individual basis’.
Asked for his views on her comments yesterday, the Reform UK leader told the Daily Mail: ‘I’ve personally never worked in a prison so I can’t answer [the question] but I think you’ll find

Ms Frake said trans prisoners she had overseen were ‘accepted’ by other inmates and added: ‘People who want to just say a blanket ban clearly have never stepped foot in a prison and seen how prison runs and how risk assessments on individuals happen.’ But Tory leader Kemi Badenoch said Reform’s ‘law and order’ plan was ‘hiding a complete betrayal of women’s safety’.

My father was a violent, controlling, abusive man. The argument that we don't have autonomy over ourselves, and responsibility for not repeating the cycle is pathetic.
