then, the transphobes , feeling victorious at how many people they have made unhappy and despairing in the previous week, move on to anything else that has a spectrum and the possibility of more colours than they can conceive - such hateful people - they cannot understand anything that is not THEM

The “Labour” Party finds itself arguing ordinary workers, carers and others are “takers”.
Hey everyone, here's the news, if you aren't a high earner, entrepreneur or a "skilled frontline worker" (whatever the fuck that means) the "Labour" Party says you aren't contributing, you're a taker!
This is so disgusting.

Do you think there will be a second FIFA peace prize?

If so will it be cringier? Is there a level at which the cringe might actually be dangerous?

'Life being stressful is not an illness' - technically speaking neither is breathing in coal dust for a 12 hour shift but we still recognise blacklung as an illness.

Life in a harmful environment makes you ill and people who don't know that shouldn't be doctors.
The fact that many GPs don't believe people with mental health conditions will not be news to those of us with mental health conditions who have had to deal with these cunts.

Kudos on the BBC for continuing to manufacture consent to take away our rights and healthcare though.
'Life being stressful is not an illness' - GPs on mental health over-diagnosis
Hundreds of GPs in England tell the BBC they are also worried about a lack of help for patients.

Setting aside the morality here, I increasingly wonder if any if these people have ever seen a demographics chart?
I don’t get how Jenrick can actually believe that we should shrink the population and then start making more of our own things from pots and pans to what iPhones? How does he think that happens?

The protestors have been asked to leave "immediately"
Protestors camping out at a historic bus shelter in Sheringham to keep it from being demolished have been handed an eviction notice by Norfolk…

Solar canopy on car park of leisure centre to offset the (alarmingly high) energy demands of the swimming pool.

Obviously a good thing, but I do wonder if the 'just put them in car parks' crowd have really reckoned with the backlash such large structures will bring

I personally think it runs fairly counter to any sort of anti-slavery policy to be giving a clear note to some of most abusive employers out there we'll happily deport their workers if they get uppity.
People don't choose to become undocumented. Providing people seeking asylum with the right to work from the outset, and ensuring there were better routes to regularisation for migrants who fall out of status, would be more effective measures than raids and deportations.

Ok, so why when there are 8,000kcal per day per person are people hungry?

Look, it is truly astounding how much mechanisation means a small group can feed everyone.

But what is more astounding is we then choose not to.

While this BBC article on ever-bigger SUVs is perfectly good, it's absurd the way there has to be quotes from people who insist they could not get around without a vehicle the size of a Sherman tank. It's just bollocks. I'm one of three kids and we were all ferried around in a Vauxhall Astra estate.

The former leader of the Scottish Labour Party there, demonstrating again how far the UK antitrans campaign is the work of middle-aged, largely white people who've all done very well for themselves, yet feel an inexplicable need to punch down at folk who've never, ever done them any harm.
Note how these awful people are getting exactly the exclusions of children that they demanded and *that still isn’t enough for them*: they demand everyone be delighted about it and kiss their arses for being brilliant.

As a person who has to buy and use small boats for work, and has my name on an extensive report filed with DfT into them, do I just report to the police station now or will they arrest me at home?
The UK has gone quite, quite mad.

It's ridiculous that we (just about) survived 14 years of the Tories, only for Labour to allow the madness to take hold and spread.

Some of the stuff in those bullets is just breath-takingly evil.

And it's not winning Labour ANY votes. Just helping Reform.
