Tweets are own opinion and not the views of employers, family or pets. Works on Climate Change stuff. Rides bikes. Takes trains. Catches buses. Drives an EV. Arrested for being a pedestrian. Heat Pump owner. Union member. He/Him
Weirdly the BBC web headline is more accurate than the Grauniad one.

Ok wtf....look there is a narrow window of 'we should make sure those who realise they are pedophiles and haven't acted on it can get therapy, and properly fund criminology research into what causes pedophilia to be acted on' but that doesn't ever cross into 'it's good to be a pedophile'.

Also she needs to be struck of ASAP - with her known beliefs no Person Of Colour can feel safe at NHS Fife whilst her racist arse is present.

It isn't great that she won a harassment claim, another case of a bigot behaving atrociously then throwing hundreds of thousands to find any error made by the person they are being atrocious to.

Like, if Ms Peggie had won it would have been the end of meaningful Equality Law.

And also about 95% of cylinder locks on british doors that lack anti-snap protection.

Locks with physical keys only really became good in the 19th century, and if you spent less than £100 on the cylinder locks on your house doors they're more of a 'please don't break in' note than actual security.

Have airlines tried not putting their planes 458 thousand miles away from the waiting area, then announcing the gate with 10 minuted warning, threatening death if you don't get there on time, befpre leading you waiting for 7,000 hours before boarding?

Where's that bloody construction high vis, I can pretend to be someone who does actual work.

Your local university law library also likely has day passes and can guide you to the Article 3 and/or Convention Against Torture jurisprudence.
December 8, 2025 at 8:14 AM
I mean, I feel like we spent the 2000s having endless wankers insisting waterboarding isn't torture, and then either;

A) Refusing to be waterboarded
B) Agreeing to be waterboarded and confirming in 3 seconds 'yep, that's torture'.

This isn't a new or novel argument you are making.

They want to redefine what counts as inhumane or degrading treatment.

This was the same logic that allows Robots to break the 'A robot must not harm a human' 1st Law - you tell the robot some people aren't human.
