The Palestinians are of course the most obvious example but I think the most telling overall is Egyptians— they did everything the "right way" and were left to rot under a new military junta first and foremost because the US thinks it's easier to maintain its regional order with an Arab despot.

Doesn't just apply to the US or the USG either, important to think about, for example, how muted the center left in the US, UK, France, Spain, Germany etcetera were for the Great March of Return. Or to be honest, the First Intifada.

I think blowing whistles and eg the dinosaur costumes are -also- good approaches, and not necessarily indicative of lib politics. anarchist activism has long recognized that what we need to win is a broad range of tactics. which definitely includes counter-violence.
this is a far better approach than interpretive dance, blowing whistles or whatever the libs are doing
