When you see a headline that sounds outrageous, just stop and think.

Read the article - that almost always debunks the headline!

Look out for the use of the word “after” - it’s a manipulation to make you believe cause by linking the action to most innocuous part of the story

Here's an oddity - we keep finding these tiny plastic candles washed up. Does anyone recognise them? We've been finding them for about a year now on both the north and south coasts of Cornwall. Anyone else finding them? They're about 4cm long.

Our media's reporting of trans issues is poisonous, unhinged, a betrayal by those who pretend to report impartially, and shamefully reminiscent of other hate propagandising throughout the last century. I'm surprised to see it in the UK but I need to learn that it is, since Brexit, just who we are.

This is awesome. Print is such a good way to get around a bunch of distribution (and surveillance!) mechanisms that seem otherwise mandatory in this very gross economy. It is really nice to see it spelled out like this.

It works great for us, and it'll work great for other places!
404 Media is making a print zine! About the surveillance technologies used by ICE. 16 pages, riso printed. Shipping early January. Features reworked versions of our best reporting and a few new things. We're very excited! And hope to do more if people like it:

If we’re serious about democratising society and the economy, we need to democratise our institutions too.

That starts with a referendum on the monarchy.

And for the record: I’d vote to abolish it. I’m a republican.
