Normal People Don’t Want This Shit is running away with the vote tonight

What everyone needs to grasp is that this goes way beyond one guy. They are willing to fabricate reasons to illegally rendition anyone they don't like to foreign concentration camps without due process, and they assert no one can stop them. Cross that line and the US is officially a fascist state.
Trump just posted a photo of himself holding up a piece of paper claiming to show tattoos on Kilmar Abrego Garcia that are related to MS-13. The paper he’s holding up has been digitally altered to add the characters MS-13.

The claim comes from neo-Nazis on X who say the tattoos cover up “MS-13.”

Just a reminder: having a functional moral compass right now is going to make you feel bad all the time; don’t mistakenly hate yourself for that.

So, we learned:

- There was absolutely classified info in that chat (illegal)

- We likely bombed an apartment building to kill one guy (war crime)

- The primary drivers for the operation were optics and politics

- This is not the first time this sort of group chat has been used

What a week.

Nearly every day at this point there's something that makes me think "dear god, these are the dumbest motherfuckers on the planet." And then the next day happens and somehow it's worse.
Jeffrey Goldberg thinking he was being pranked and then realizing he was actually just in the war plans group chat is such a good microcosm of how it feels to be alive right now, everything seems fake until you realize it’s actually real and incredibly stupid

Give. Her. The. Keys.
Tonight an unbelievable **34,000 people** gathered for our Denver rally to take on billionaires and win our country back.

This was the largest political gathering in Denver since Obama in 2008.

Also bigger than the 2024 DNC.

And the largest ever rally in Bernie’s career (and obviously, mine too).

This is... I'm not even sure how to properly convey it. Equal parts mind-numbingly stupid, dangerous, and horrifying. We're going to attack Canada and Mexico. Let that sink in.
SCOOP—Trump plans to issue an executive order designating fentanyl as a "Weapon of Mass Destruction," per copy of EO reviewed by me. Source at State speculates purpose is to designate cartels as terrorist orgs/justify military ops in Mexico/Canada.

Trump to declare fentanyl “Weapon of Mass Destruction," per draft EO

If I didn't know this was Schumer, this is nearly dead on how Trump talks (and nearly as stupid).
Schumer on CBS on calls for him to go:

"Here’s what I say — I’m the best leader for the Senate. I am the best at winning Senate seats."

Lawyers representing Trump, pissing off judges since forever.
Boasberg: Tomorrow by Noon give me the info that I previously ordered and also include a written declaration about the third flight.

Also Boasberg: “and I will memorialize all of this in written form because apparently my oral orders don’t carry much weight.”

The big question for everybody should be WHAT CAN YOU DO THAT I CAN’T DO MYSELF? Oh you sent a letter? Called an office? Made a statement? Great, I can do all of that. I elected you - what can you do that i can’t?

Assuming we still have a functioning and free government at that point, @aoc.bsky.social should absolutely run for Schumer's Senate seat. Primary him if needed. The old guard has failed us too many times.
March 14, 2025 at 1:06 AM
@captmarkkelly.bsky.social I sincerely hope that, should Schumer betray the nation by handing Trump and Elon a blank check to continue dismantling our country, that you and other sensible senators will immediately call for his resignation as minority leader. We need backbone, not abdication.
Don't take this as gospel. It's not official. It's a very knowledgable source's best understanding of the situation. This persons likely Yeses on cloture are. Schumer, Hassan, Peters, Durbin, Schatz, King, Shaheen, Fetterman, Cortez Masto and Gillibrand.

NEW — Per Homeland Security & State Department sources, the Trump administration is staking its entire case to deport Mahmoud Kahlil not on whether he broke a law, but on Secretary of State Marco Rubio “personally” deciding Khalil would “compromise” US foreign policy.

Arizona can be a strange place politically, but the voters here do value individual freedoms. (And also checks on power: a measure to remove our ability to vote out judges was resoundingly shut down in this past election as well)

BREAKING: A judge permanently blocked Arizona's abortion ban.

This is a direct result of voters passing the state's constitutional amendment to protect abortion access in November.

As always, Russia could end this war at any time by simply stopping their attack on Ukraine. Baffling how the US position has distorted into putting the onus on Ukraine to sacrifice in order to end a war of defense.
