most of the time a "bad [series] game" is just a bad game, and if it isn't, then people are just missing what it learns and why it makes changes from the previous game(s)

i feel like saying a game in X series is "a bad X game" is a garbage argument because like. it's a part of the series and people are going to treat and accept it as such regardless, and also it just makes it sound like you have a very prescriptive view of what the game should have been

Seems to be in right now to talk about game-launching mockups. Might as well skip that and show this thing I've been working on lately.
There's still some fine-tuning before I release it, and still deciding on licenses but it will be FOSS, but as-is it does what I need it to do.
