was thinking about nioh 3 in the grand scheme of team ninja action-RPGs, and i really feel like it represents them embracing the fact that almost all changes from their previous games can only exist as trade-offs

i read that the director had considered making this an action-RPG, but didn't since wilds is already an action game, and while i agree with that reasoning and a sub-series keeping its identity... man i wanna monster hunt while jumping around a colorful world. you can jump!

i used to think that dealing with mechanical issues was part of the real robot identity, but then i watched a bunch of super robot shows with emily and realized that the Super Miracle God Engine or whatever is a piece of crap that needs to be repaired every other episode too
Super Robot vs. Real Robot is dumb and fake, everyone knows it all comes down to tube robots vs. box robots
