Industrial meat & poultry plants dump tons of pollution into our waters—our research shows how much Tyson alone released in just 5 years. Yet the Trump #EPA won’t update weak, outdated effluent rules, again putting Industrial Ag profits over your right to #cleanwater 🧪 bit.ly/4p19Lh0

Always great to see states taking strong action to protect water quality—esp at a time when the fed government is determined to do the opposite (see: this morning’s EPA #PFAS announcement). Kudos to @govwesmoore.bsky.social & other MD leaders for stepping up to safeguard our health & environment! 🌊
In an exciting step for clean water and the local economies it supports, yesterday MD Governor Wes Moore signed the Chesapeake Bay Legacy Act (HB506) into Maryland law. This legislation will help improve water quality in the Chesapeake Bay and promote economic growth across the state

The Trump administration has proposed “reinterpreting” which wetlands & streams are protected under the Clean Water Act. Last week I testified to EPA & urged the agency to preserve protections for these waters—and now you can too. Here’s how to weigh in & why it matters: blog.ucs.org/stacy-woods/...
Wetlands and Streams Face a New Threat from the Trump Administration

The dire wolf discourse is absolutely sending me. Thank you, Science Bluesky.
Every child needs to hear these things:

I love you

I’m always here for you

Those are not direwolves

I support you
Scientists love to debate and argue, but if there are 3 things every scientist absolutely agrees on, it's that:

1. Climate change is real
2. Vaccines work
3. Those are NOT dire wolves 😤

I think they need a tl;dr on storm surge vs. sea level rise. Moving your vacation home back a quarter inch won’t save it if you keep ignoring climate change and flooding...
Trump and Republican elites will happily sacrifice the rest of us to a future of climate devastation if it means more waterfront property for their vacation homes
Trump: "We should've all been gone bc they gave us only a few years left on earth, right? The environment. No. What they have to worry about is the nuclear heat ... you don't have to worry about the ocean rising 1/4 of an inch within the next 600 years giving you a little more waterfront property"
