It just seems weird to me that you can engage in an extraordinary mid-decade re-redistricting to alter the status quo, then say the courts can’t enjoin it because everyone’s relied on the new maps that have never been used & can’t handle using the existing districts.

Yup… make them show themselves over and over
It's good—very good, and very important—that district courts keep issuing these 100-page rulings upholding the law. It must be incredibly dispiriting to see them overturned in a two-page, lawless, unsigned order, but please, keep them coming. They expose SCOTUS' corruption like nothing else.

Seems to be true….back to the Taney court
The U.S. Supreme Court: "ICE can racially profile people it arrests."

Also, the U.S. Supreme Court: "Texas can disenfranchise voters based on race."

Can we all agree that we currently have a white supremacist Supreme Court?

Wow! The Supreme Court basically just said, if you want to do racial gerrymandering, have at it.

Let’s be clear, what Texas did was racial gerrymandering, plain and simple. SCOTUS just opened the floodgates.

Good point..
The ignorant inbred hillbilly can't even form anything close to a logical argument. He & his equally stupid orange baboon claim these immigrants are lazy, shiftless whiners who can't/won't hold down a job, yet they somehow have so much money they buy all the houses on the market & pay huge rents.

An economic policy reporter really should know better than to categorize operational costs of a constitutionally required service as a revenue loss or negative profit margin. You don’t see them do this when talking about the DoD budget or the money required for interstate upkeep.
🚨SCOOP: Amazon is preparing to sever ties with USPS and expand its shipping network as a true coast-to-coast rival.

It could cost USPS more than *$6 billion* a year in lost revenue, and lead Amazon to dominate yet another facet of the economy.

USPS posted a *$9 billion* loss in 2025.

The “nodfather”🙂
Affordability is a scam?! Please. Prices aren’t magically dropping — that’s not how inflation works, and Trump knows it. Real affordability means higher wages so families can survive higher prices. That’s the part The Nodfather refuses to say out loud. #TrumpAffordabilityCrisis

The third point, too. Cassidy owns this shanda because he & his GOP Senate colleagues, Thom Tillis, Susan Collins, and Lisa Murkowski, were cowards.

Again, <10 people in Washington can end almost all of this today, & yet they are getting total free passes on a daily basis:

bsky.app/profile/mcop...
That last point. Cassidy really has enormous leverage if he wants to use it. He would win this fight. Worst case is he winds up losing a primary and spends his 70s (he's 68 now) as a hero to millions. He'll likely never have as much influence over anything again as he has over this right now.
ACIP may end universal Hep B vaccination today.

Hep B prevention is Cassidy's passion, as he made clear during RFK Jr's confirmation hearings.

But let's not forget... his vote to confirm RFK Jr. got us into this mess!

He needs to use every lever of power he has in the Senate to fix it.

"But rich people might get services too!" So? Who fucking cares. Rich people can also be disabled. And even if they aren't, we live in a society. If the goal is accessibility, that means accessibility for all, not just the people you personally think deserve it.
December 4, 2025 at 6:50 PM
Exactly!💯
I don't care if a non-disabled person accesses a disability accommodation for the same reason I don't care if a child whose parents are rich gets free lunch at school. We don't need to means test being a kind person. I have better things to do with my time than be a cop over social services.

I think that's an important point.
Any thoughts on the take (Phillip Bump) that because there was no public declaration on war until after the boat bombings became public, and this was the first such bombing, the victims could not possibly have understood they were in a war zone.
