Man I feel bad for this lady. But at the same time, I have questions. The makeup? Using the middle initial? Maybe she does stand-up on the weekends?
i’m not sure how but this is real antipolygraph.org/blog/2025/10...

I've seen a lot of people (critically) repost this but few (unlike @leftoblique.bsky.social in her thread below) appear to have actually read it.
This is an insightful but deeply upsetting article about why everyone in the US feels poor, and why the current political situation emerges as a direct result.

My teenagers are really into "Hazbin Hotel" so I watched both seasons with them and they're amazing?

Like if Bojack Horseman and My Little Pony got married and birthed a fully-formed child with an important story to tell.

Great thread here
There's this weird thing people do where they're like "housing prices haven't gone up that much in Asbestos County Ohio, so there's no housing crisis" and like I cannot explain to you enough how much I do not care about housing prices in Asbestos County Ohio
What the “objective evidence” shows is that the share of income dedicated to housing is higher than before, but not by nearly as much as popular narratives make it seem, with increases heavily driven by a subset of renters. A long-term upward trend. Calling me a “glib idiot” doesn’t change the data.

NEW: Gregory Bovino is exactly who E.B. White — author of 'Charlotte's Web' — warned us about.

DHS named its North Carolina anti-immigrant effort "Operation Charlotte's Web." In 1940, White wrote of the "smell" that "rises" from those who "adjust to fascism" over freedom.

Why that's 1 in 20, if I'm mathing right.
NPR reported this morning that, based on their review of the #Epstein emails released yesterday, Trump’s name appeared more than 1,000 times in the document—

"I have met some very bad people, none as bad as #Trump. Not one decent cell in his body." - Jeffrey Epstein

One branch of government attacking another co-equal branch of government. Not encouraging.
Attacking a federal district judge as an “activist” for issuing a lawful ruling is an assault on judicial independence. A democracy cannot function when executive agencies denigrate judges for doing their jobs.

The shutdown deal includes a ban on hemp products that none of its negotiators debated in public.

Disappointing that only 24 senators voted against killing an amendment to strike that ban.

Y’all keep screaming “old politicians are ruining our democracy” but Fetterman is only 56, Kane is 67 about retirement age but is that too old to lead nowadays? Look at those 8 senators and tell me what they all have in common. I’ll wait…
November 11, 2025 at 12:57 AM
Yeah our two Senators are being *awfully* quiet about this.
I called Schiff before he turned voicemail off (which seems to mean it was a purposeful decision. & Padilla's line didn't allow me to leave a message. they best not be among the caving Dem senators
Both @schiff.senate.gov and @padilla.senate.gov have voice mail turned off stating “the office is closed.”

Cowardly dipshits. That’s what voice mail IS FOR!!!!

Interesting counterpoint to the "cave" narrative, maybe similar to Justice Brown's play on SNAP.

Not sure I agree, yet, but it's something to think about.

P.S. read the whole thread, not just this post.
I absolutely don't want Senate Dems to cave, but some key things:

1. If they do, this gets kicked back over to the House, which has to vote on it again since it would differ from their own version...which I think only runs thru 11/21?

2. That presumably means having to swear in Grjalva.

Man it sucks seeing Ossoff on this list. I know my GA relatives are making calls.
John Fetterman, Angus King, Maggie Hassan, Dick Durbin, Jon Ossoff, Jeanne Shaheen, Kirsten Gillibrand, Catherine Cortez Masto, Mark Warner, Cory Booker, and of course Chuck Schumer. Maybe others not top of mind. Not all responsible will publicly vote for the cave - that's not how this works.
