the last three Most Disturbing Ads I’ve Ever Seen have all been CandyAI. really keep raising the bar on themselves
"And I never say no"

We need to have a serious talk about the way "AI companion" apps not only prey on the vulnerable, but are priming their users to ignore consent and to conflate love with control.

We need AI regulations across so many sectors, but this area is particularly horrifying.

Let’s talk about lemon pigs. Eaters of bad mojo, hard working dudes. The one on the left is a year old. On the right, ten months old. They have outlasted dozens of others and are still hard at work.

Bring it on 2026 - we’ve got these guys to help.

In 2026 we're not sharing grifters to dunk on them. We're not spreading hate on the skyline in order to make a point about that hate. We're not quote skeeting small accounts with bad takes. We're just not gonna promote hostile stupid thought to our friends

You know i really have to resist the cataloging and quantifying of everything. I don't want a watch that tracks my exercise. I don't want to count how many books I've read. Does the effort disappear if it's not accounted for? I refuse these attempts at optimization, I want to live free 😤

I am definitely a traitor to the human species, because any time there is a news story about a bear stealing a person's food or running up in their house, I am filled with a joy like no other. Only an elephant smacking somebody tops it.

I think people are underestimating how much Mamdani, even more so than your average elected leftist, see it as his top priority to not be seen as a failed mayor. He is not going to be another Brandon Johnson, I’d wager

In all seriousness it is something special to know that the mayor of the largest city in the country is a Muslim Indian who is the son of one of the most esteemed de-colonial scholars on the planet, and who is steadfast with Palestine; and who is visibly proud of his identity and his politics.

Heavy snow, and my neighborhood in NYC, including the main thoroughfare of Amsterdam Avenue, is woefully unplowed. Thanks, Mamda--no, wait, I googled and apparently the mayor of New York is someone named...Eric Adams?

Since the entire internet is having this conversation;

Sometimes going no contact isn't even a decision. It's looking at the ringing phone and realizing you don't have the strength.

Over and over again.

If one person is not accessible to another, something about that relationship HURTS.
