In retrospect, there should have been way more pushback against the random bombings of fishing boats in the Caribbean.

I think the popularity of the Epstein files with the MAGA base is in part due to timing. They got their Dear Leader back with an unfettered hand to fix everything this time and ... the exact opposite of fixing everything is happening.
