24 years ago, the magazine I was writing for sent my 19 year old ass to review Mulholland Drive. I re-read it for the first time a couple of weeks ago and wrote a little bit about making peace with things that you wrote before you were ready to write them.
I'm enjoying the Kenta/Testuya Endo pairing for a number of reasons. But I think the thing I'm most intrigued about is that Endo's humour really shines when he's playing off other people who are also funny and Kenta is exactly that kind of wrestler.

I've known this was coming for...pretty much my entire life. It's a miracle it's lasted as long as it has in the condition it has. But I'm still having a lot of feelings about this.
I'm one of those Not Good With Change autistics, so I knew that moving was going to do a number on me, but I'm still shocked at the extent to which it has fucked with almost every aspect of my life. And how much downtime I seem to need to get out of this hole.

Our building has been testing the fire alarms and emergency lights for an hour and a half now and I don’t consider myself especially sensitive to sounds or flashing lights (although I have been tested for epilepsy on two separate occasions) but my autistic ass is going through it.

I have a trans friend I met through recreational martial arts. Some gyms and orgs deferred to the IOC's stance when deciding whether or not to allow her to participate. This ban has the potential to harm and exclude trans women at every level of athletics.

My husband slept through at least ten minutes of fire alarms and announcements at 4am, but woke up when the cat yelled at him for food. Now I’m explaining to the cat that his life is essentially in her hands if anything actually goes wrong here and I’m not home.

This might be small compared to the incredible tributes I've read to Alice Wong's activism, writing, and being an all around great human, but I'll also remember Alice as someone who celebrated the little things that made disabled people a little happier in this world.

As an elder millennial Torontonian, I spend a lot of time trying to check myself about my 90s Toronto nostalgia. Was it actually better, or did I just have fewer problems of an adult on my head and my shoulders? But the truth is, some things were better because common people could do more then.
