The MMR shot really is the minimum for attending school at all levels. Parents can‘t expect their kids to be in social environments while they make deliberately antisocial decisions about the kid’s health.

The country is now seeing what El Paso County residents know to be true: Jeff Crank is failing our community, raising our costs, and neglecting to show up and listen to his constituents. The momentum of our campaign has helped put this district into play, and I know we can flip this seat together.

I got a letter response from Representative Jeff Crank. Sigh. It was as weak sauce as it gets. 🤨

For more on how conditions at Dilley are affecting children, read my latest for @nbcnews.com
I interviewed a family of Russian asylum seekers who’ve been held more than four months at the Dilley detention center in Texas.

As we spoke over Zoom this week, their daughter Kamilla was one day shy of turning 12. I asked her what she wanted for her birthday.

She replied: “To get out of here.”

“Konstantin, 4, a sociable boy, is often frightened by loud noises and guards, his parents said. He once cried for hours after a small toy airplane was confiscated.”
This post is really taking off. I know the Thanksgiving detail is grabbing, but I would encourage everyone to also read the full article about this family’s struggle at Dilley.

They’ve been locked up for 130+ days.

I spent hours with them on Zoom this week, and their story deserves to be heard.

As Molly Ivins memorably said, Texas is the national laboratory for bad government
and we already have....if you birth certificate name doesn't match your present name you have to have a marriage certificate or other documents to prove the change when you get your license/ID. I always say watch Texas because we're the state where all the Rs nastiest ideas are tested.

These men suffered torture in a Salvadoran prison because the Trump administration denied them due process.

This ruling is a critical victory and step in the right direction.
