CO-05 has historically been a “red” district, but Jeff Crank hasn’t delivered on the most important issues: affordability, safety, and prosperity. That’s why there’s so much energy surrounding my campaign. We’re putting people over politics and in the process are going to flip this red seat blue.

Polls show Colorado’s 5th district is one of the most competitive swing districts in the country. Jeff Crank has not delivered on his promises. On day 1, I’ll fight to lower your costs and make Colorado Springs more prosperous.

The corruption and hypocrisy coming from the Trump Administration and lack of response from Congress (controlled by Republicans like Jeff Crank) is astounding. We need change.

We ventured out for our Christmas tree today…at Harding’s Nursery, where I worked during high school. This was a little more fun than potting and watering potentilla in the summer heat. Happy Holidays!

The holidays are a time to reflect and give back. Catholic Charities is an organization that does such critical work in our community to address homelessness, hunger and family needs. I had the opportunity to visit their Helen Hunt site last week. I encourage you to support them if you are able.

We could feel the energy and hope at a meet and greet last night here in Colorado Springs. Thank you to everyone who came out and is engaging in this campaign. Together, we will flip this district for the first time in its history.

Last week, I got to visit Care and Share. They are so critical to feeding our Southern Colorado community. I encourage those in El Paso County who are have the means to join me in participating in Take a Turkey to Work Day today and donate a turkey to a family in need.

I spoke with the Local 58 Plumbers and Pipefitters last night and shared my vision for a robust middle class. When I get to Congress, I’ll be a champion for my working class constituents and union laborers. Unions built the middle class, and the middle class built America.

Right now, I know many are struggling and frustrated. But as I learned during that Ironman, we must have hope and persevere. And if we work together, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish—including flipping this seat. We can and WILL win. Let’s do it.

We had a great turnout at the CO-05 townhall this week. The only person who didn't make it was Jeff Crank. When I'm your member of Congress, I will hold consistent townhalls and be responsive to ALL the people of CO’s 5th District. The job of a representative is to actually REPRESENT your community.
