#SCOTUS is likely to do the right thing in the Lisa Cook case.

But it's worth bearing in mind that this idea that the Fed is some bespoke exception to the unitary executive theory is utterly incoherent as a matter of both law and history—and is really just proof that the UET is itself bollocks:

A constitutional principle like the "unitary executive theory" isn't worth all that much if the Supreme Court can conjure new, unprincipled exceptions to it by simply asserting that they exist.

At any point in the last 30 years the GOP could have backed Immigration Reform, funding for immigration courts to reduce backlogs and any number of policies to control immigration and they didn't to provide a wedge issue to gain power for this end game we are in now, fascism under one Party control.

Positively shocked that the house magazine of the Manhattan Institute is upset that my book refuses to attribute America's record-high homelessness to "personal choices"—rather than, say, rents outpacing income gains by 325 percent since 1985.

New, from me: A year in, did DOGE deliver on its promises?

Not the promises it made to us (cut spending, modernize government, improve services). It worsened state capacity.

But it was part of a successful broligarchy exercise in state capture. 🧵
