UK Labour deliberately trying to kill trans children. The puberty blocker ban wasn’t enough; they are trying to ban the /social/ aspects of transition.

Starmer and Labour need to be scorched into electoral oblivion in 2029 and the ground salted afterwards. There is no place of honour here.
New School Guidance announces:

Full bathroom ban.
Full PE ban.
Full school trip accommodation ban.

Trans kids will not go to the bathroom, do PE or go on any school trips. 1/

I think what is most evil about this particular decision by the UK Labour government, and the ghoul in charge, Wes Streeting, is its deliberateness.

Denying healthcare to a population that is at extreme risk like this was always going to kill some trans youth.

One suspects that was their goal.
One of the wickedest things Wes Streeting has ever done is push politically convenient falsehoods about suicide rates amongst young trans people. We have new data from the National Child Mortality Database that exposes the truth he tried to cover up.
New data shows surge in trans kids’ suicides following healthcare rollbacks | Good Law Project
A freedom of information request by Good Law Project has found that deaths by suicide of trans young people under 18 surged following the withdrawal of gender-affirming healthcare

New from me: Why won't the government switch off the unlawful mutual obligations system?

FOI documents reveal a ramshackle Department that's scrambling to cover legal messes, preserve industry profits, and pretend that punishment is policy

Punishment Pays: The reason why the Government won’t bin Mutual Obligations
The Labor Government is dragging the public into another unlawful welfare scandal, because it refuses to walk away from an ideology and industry built around punishment

Trans kids won't disappear. Just like restricting abortions doesn't stop unwanted pregnancies. All it does is drive people to less safe care and ruin lives.

Never, ever fall for the line that transphobia is about protecting women. It is only about hate, it only ever has been about hate.
What did you think would happen when you restricted access to care?

I've found this to be true when it comes to explaining why I still mask in public. Once nearly everybody had already had COVID once vaccines were out, "I don't want to die" garnered skepticism but "My favorite foods tasted wrong for six months last time" had folks going "oh, huh, that makes sense!"
Same reason people go on motorcycles without helmets: your argument about deaths means nothing to them.

Tell em the most likely outcome is not death, but 60 years of pain and not being able to wipe their own ass, though, and suddenly they think a helmet is a good idea.

A government that can’t bring itself to tax fossil fuel, big tech or any wealth properly but defunds its critical institutions is not a good government, sorry

Banning YouTube for under-16s is some bullshit by the Albanese government. How about focusing on climate change, genocide, better health and education provision, literally 1,000 other things before this populist fuckery? Kids will just set up adult accounts and be exposed to way more shit. Dickheads

do you ever stare at the ceiling and think about how the worldwide scientific establishment did the impossible and created a COVID vaccine in under a year and the response of the general public has been to go on an unstoppable rampage to destroy science and scientists

The Family Court in Australia has granted responsibility for a transgender young person to his mother because she supports hormone treatment for her child, against his father.

The judgement explicitly calls out the “overt political imperative” of the Cass report from the UK
