Yes, since July 2025, the Trump administration has been implementing a policy to concentrate all pregnant unaccompanied migrant CHILDREN at a single shelter in San Benito, Texas‼️
SOME AS YOUNG AS 13 AND AT LEAST HALF OF THOSE TAKEN BECAME PREGNANT AS A RESULT OF RAPE‼️

Every time you speak up - and every time you don't - there are people watching and learning about you and the world you help create.
The drunk uncle theory.

You don’t argue with the casually homophobic uncle at Thanksgiving dinner to change his mind; you argue so that the closeted cousin at the kids table knows there’s safe people and better possibilities out there
agree with this (hah) but also think a particular mistake the left made for a long time online, and still makes to an extent, is failing to understand that the person whose mind you may actually change is the one reading the argument you're having, not the one you're arguing with

Over 4,000 elephants helped. But what does a treatment actually look like?

Watch our SWT/KWS Vet Unit treat a bull with an old spear injury – from darting him safely to cleaning the wound. The outcome? He walked off comfortable, ready to roam free.

Your donations make this possible.

"I can give you a 15-minute history lesson that will explain ICE and our current politics.”

“Can I use a timer?” he asked.

I said certainly.

I prepared the lesson, and my nephew started the timer.

Here is what I told him: terikanefield.com/let-my-peopl...
Let My People In: The Story of Immigration in the U.S. - Teri Kanefield
My sixteen-year-old Chilean nephew was curious about what’s going on with ICE. In Chile, the word “conservative” is associated with capitalism, and the word “liberal” is associated with communism. He ...

I told him things are different here and labels have different meanings because we have a different history.

I could see he was curious, but I knew he had no interest in lengthy history lessons, so I said, “I can do it in 15 minutes . . . "

I think a lot of the elite talking head scorn here is not so much about being pro-rape as it is being arrogant, elite, entitled: WE are the taste-makers, WE dictate what should be talked about and who is in and out, how DARE the hoi-polloi think they can dictate to us.
@kenwhite.bsky.social your piece is proving to be prophetic.

On the other hand perhaps I am misreading Noah Rothman. Perhaps his reaction to the uproar over Epstein, calling it a moral panic should be read in the context of his accusation that progressives have engaged in a war on fun.

/9 Also: to the many people who say he wasn’t fired, he WAS suspended, which is an adverse employment action. That changes the balancing test some — easier to defend a temporary suspension than a firing -- but it doesn’t eliminate his claim.

/8…how cynical passions could get teachers fired for not accepting the cultural diktats of the Right about someone like Charlie Kirk. We’re not talking about a slippery slope; the same thing is actually happening to teachers on the other side right now.

/2 Seems to me that James Heidorn easily satisfies the first parts of the test about protecting public employee speech: he spoke as a private citizen, off the job, on a subject of public interest, and wasn’t doing so in the course of his job.

Adam’s right. It’s more important than ever that our institutions defend First Amendment rights, and that means not firing teachers illegally whether their offense was “Go ICE” or saying something less than hagiographical about Charlie Kirk. Fewer people want to hear that in ugly times.

Am I going to be the only one to suggest that firing a public school teacher for speaking out on a matter of public concern raises profound First Amendment issues, and we should pause before cheering on such actions when that power can be weaponized against progressive teachers in red places? 1/3
This “beloved” Chicago teacher, James Heidorn, believes he was pushed out of his job due to a two-word post on his Facebook account.

Oddly enough, the heavily Hispanic district didn’t appreciate him posting “GO ICE”.
