I think Fetterman is now the only DINO who has not yet pledged to veto the DHS funding bill. Unless they force a filibuster removal over this, I don't really see it passing.

It seems that MAGA is underestimating a vital feature of civil society - one that works even under authoritarian regimes.

I seriously think that MAGA doing a 180 on the Second Amendment will be a breaking point for a lot of otherwise conservative people.
There aren't many points in US discourse which are more associated with Republican identity than 2A rights.

So after doing three monkeys for the entire day yesterday, there's been some mild criticism of the government in GOP circles. For now, it's the outsiders (MTG, Massie, Tillis). But there's also a leaked recording of Cruz distancing himself from Trump.
I think we'll hear more in the coming days.

What is happening in Minnesota right now is a breaking point for emerging fascism. This second murder is way more blatant than the first. If the perpetrators get away with it, then the entire ICE knows they can murder people at will - and they will start doing so. This is *the* breaking point.

I've said it before and I'll repeat it ad nauseam - neoliberal politics have trained liberal politicians who are *pathologically* risk-averse. It's normal for some people to be more risk-averse - but this is both a selection factor for liberal parties and extreme in its effect size.
