When Democrats folded in the last government shutdown—rescuing the GOP majority from itself and helping them pass a budget, giving validation to the Trump administration’s lawbreaking—the savvy politics knowers explained that folding was clearly worth it because it got the Epstein Files released.
No federal judge has the power or authority to make DOJ comply with the mandatory provisions of the Epstein Act, says Pam Bondi. It's unenforceable and meaningless. Essentially, DOJ is a lawless if not criminal enterprise, not a law enforcement agency, at this point.

It's unclear if he was charged with anything. Scott and others attempted to provoke the anti-ICE protesters.

The DOJ did a late night filing stating that no judge or court can adjudicate or enforce the epstein files transparency act. The Department of Justice is barely trying to hide that one of their main focuses is protecting pedophiles and child traffickers.

I'm super happy with my bi-weekly D&D game and my players, but damn I feel like I need a weekly ttrpg game to keep my seasonal depression in check, and I have so many different games and settings for games that I haven't been able play.

Wow, if I had a nickel for every time a dice roll decided that I had to add an obnoxious, foul mouthed, and good hearted raccoon as an animal companion into a dnd campaign, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?

Probably the best tip or trick or whatever you want to call it that I've added to my ttrpg games is throwing out world building prompts to my players. I give them a couple paragraphs describing a location as a baseline and then ask them to add in any ideas they might have.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

I've been teaching for a decade. Admittedly its teenagers, but the sweetest, kindest kids i teach almost universally have some life-altering trauma, illness, family issues etc. and they still show up daily with smiles and kindness. They keep me tethered to humanity after reading what our leaders do.

Last night was the first time I have run a serious D&D session in years, and damn it felt good, even though the session was an exploration of the root of all of the characters psychological trauma. I'm very excited to see the many different directions and depths that this story will go.
