Alex from our time working together, while he was in nursing school. Later, he moved to ICU, working as a nurse to support critically ill Veterans. He had such a great attitude. We’d chat between patients about trying to get in a mountain bike ride together. Will never happen now

My most frequent interaction with Proteaceae is eating macadamia nuts! 😛

Strike [ 211 words ] My eyes opened, the drowsy comfort of rest lifting like fog in the sunrise. It was perfectly soft and warm beneath the covers. I was lying on my back, which is unusual to my side sleeping preference. The morning light lit the room softly from the west-facing window as I lifted my head to look around the room. I wasn’t expecting anything different that day. I was home alone. But that diamondback rattlesnake on my legs? My stomach dropped. No. Not normal at all. I'm far out of its native range, first of all. Second, why was it moving toward my face? I need to move, I told myself. Do something. Anything other than lying still like an idiot. Even as I commanded my limbs to move, realization struck: I could not move. My body was not listening to me. My heart thundered, pounding against my ribs. Was this the end? The diamondback was so close now. I could see the details in its irises as its mouth opened wide, fangs bared-- I woke with a start, pulse hammering, drenched in sweat. At last, my body could move! I ran my hands up and down my face and neck. No bites. Where was the snake? It was nowhere to be found.

I've been working on a fic based in the Second Age, occasionally weaving around events concerning The Rings of Power and other canon.

Naturally, when I got to Lindórinand, I began filling gaps in Nandorin language and culture to the best of my ability:
