I actually did find and finish the Undying Samurai quest. Like you I’m squirrel-ing like crazy. I keep going down rabbit holes. Every rabbit hole except the main story 😂

After 40 hours…I don’t actually know, cause I haven’t gotten that far which is AMAZING. But thank you for not spoiling. Honestly the only reason I have another stripe marked out was cause I really wanted to unlock that sweet mask 😂😂

I get distracted every time I hop in. I start out with “ok I’m going to fully level up my kusarigama” and then 2 hours of following birds, random people needing help, painting a waterfall, and catching bounties, and I’ve completely ignored what I set out to do 😂

It may lock you in at some point, but so far it’s allowed me to play whatever I want mostly in any order. I’ve started multiple storylines/quests and been bouncing around back and forth between them, unlocking weapons, ear, shrines, etc. That’s how I have so many hrs without the targets

Yea it’s a testament to Yotei cause part of what’s pulling me forward is watching them execute damn near the same story but in a much…much better way

Atsu is so good. Feels like such a well realized and formed character. And the other characters have all been compelling so far (story wise I’m still kinda early which sounds crazy since I’ve played 40 hours)

I sunk over 100 hours into Shadows so I definitely don’t say that likely. But I’m glad I played AC first, cause had I played Yotei first, I think I might have found it hard to get through Shadow’s story delivery, especially when the premise is so similar

I can see that. There are a few things that I think AC does better. But the delivery of the story and characters have been so much more engaging for me in Yotei and drawn me in, and held me, in ways Shadows struggled to do.
