This is great!

When I was 18, backpacking cheaply in Europe, a New Yorker I met in Paris mentioned some expensive place that cost ‘a nominal egg!’ I thought it was SUCH a cool phrase! I think I started using it!

Weeks later, thinking back, I realized he’d said ‘an arm and a leg.’
Heard a lad earlier talking about ‘Belgian whistles’

“A basic website costs 10k or 25k upwards if you want all the Belgian whistles”

Tonight's episode of Love it or List it was terribly sad. I think they should have called DIY SOS, not Kirsty and Phil. #LIOLI

I let slip to my daughter and her boyfriend that my recurring nightmare is being in a taxiing aircraft. This was a mistake. I have been laughed at, a LOT! What's your recurring nightmare?

Tomorrow night there will be cauliflower cheese beside roast chicken legs, that's a decision. I still have nothing lined up to eat tonight, though.

50 runaway sheep ram-paged through a German supermarket in rural Baa-varia, causing shear mania on Monday morning.

After breaking away from their 500-strong herd, the brazen sheep spent 20 minutes milling around in the Penny supermarket before ewe-turning and seeing themselves out.

I'm back from an accidental Bsky detox thanks to the app logging me out before Christmas. You probably didn't miss me but I am glad to return. Hi! Here's a pic from my seasonal wanderings.

I was once Angel Gabriel. I took the honour so seriously that when I delivered the Annunciation to Mary, my tone of voice was like someone had died. Whereas the original Gabriel was probably almost dancing on his toes with excitement, right?
So - did you take part in a nativity play at school and if so, what part did you play?

I got the part of the frankincense guy - I was the only child in the class who could pronounce the word ...!
Nativity plays have been a much-loved part of the school year in infant and junior schools across the UK for many years. These performances brought the Christmas story to life with a mix of earnestness and unintentional comedy. Classrooms buzzed with excitement as tea towels and

No, YOUR brain relied on the foggy memory of putting the bin out yesterday, and woke you up with a jolt at 6am because you'd actually forgotten, and then when you went outside in your jammies at 6am there was an entire family getting into a car who said good morning to you and your bed-hair. 💀
No, YOU heard a lorry outside and thought you'd missed bin day and ran out in your jammies to put the bin out only to meet some men delivering building materials to a neighbour 😳

I went to Harrogate Christmas market today. It has shrunk quite a lot since last year and the piped music was very loud and in painfully poor taste. There's a roadtrain, destination: back where it started. Food stalls are ok and plentiful. Bar is unable to compete with surrounding hostelries. 4/10

This is a long shot. Reposts welcome.

Looking for any recommendations or avoids for care companies in Mid Suffolk (Stowmarket, Needham, West Ipswich). Looking for someone to do a short daily visit to help an elderly parent with personal care.

I have the directory from Suffolk CC and it’s a lot.
