Happened a lot but they were inventing an entire branch of engineering. SpaceX seem to have moved fast, broken things, whilst chasing a solution up the wrong tree. They've perhaps removed too much weight and made it too fragile. Time to scrap V2 for for the new V3? www.spaceline.org/cape-canaver...

Clever, very clever.
On the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, we thought we'd answer a question that's often asked,

"If they raised the Mary Rose, why not raise the Titanic?"

That would explain a lot...
Donald Trump sidles into his bedroom. Sits on the edge of the bed and lets out a loud sigh.

He reaches up, pulling off what we realise is a rubber mask after all.

Underneath it is Liz Truss

For me, the most striking thing here is that FDR did it by working with Congress to pass actual laws, ok, and issued some EOs. He didn't try to dismantle everything and ride roughshod over the Legislature, the Constitution, and the Judiciary.
a good example of how the world is getting dumber. the new politico playbook writer didn't know who FDR was until a reader told him about that whole "new deal" thing. this newsletter is read by every important person in DC.

The Welsh told the Saxons this hill was called "pen" (meaning "hill"). The Saxons added their word for hill, "tor," and called it Torpen (hill hill).

Later the Norse added their world for hill. So it became Torpen Haugr (Hill Hill Hill).

Now the English call it Torpenhow Hill (Hill Hill Hill Hill)

Today there was a very important debate in the Commons. I feel a tipping point has been reached. I came here first for information (thanks @iandunt.bsky.social) and when I looked at The Bad Place it was a total shit show. This feels more like home now. Anyone for tea?

@iandunt.bsky.social once again writing the kind of article we should all be reading. Biases acknowledged but nonetheless a balanced review of where we are and how we got here.
