Just saw JD Vance talk about the trade war with China claiming "we have all the cards.

Where have we heard that phrase before? How did that work out? 🤔

Pipe down sunshine, your cards all say "made in China" on them.

"The heroes journey" is a term to describe a story line in which the protagonist has an adventure as an individual.

"The heroines journey" means they have help from friends.

Harry Potter starts off alone and later gets friends to help. Transitioning from the heroes journey to the heroines journey.

Yeah, more worried about how to speak well than act well

We must have honour amongst thieves though, eh? Who cares if it's only in how we address them

"You're guilty of war crimes"

"How dare you.. The right honourable gentleman is guilty of war crimes"

"That's better, now leave for your honesty"

AI isn't "taking our jobs"

It is doing "the" job.

If we think this is bad for civilisation it's because we have Stockholm Syndrome to the idea that we must be a part of the economic machine simply to exist.

The Capitalist.

Always positioned behind the king, as long as it is in play pawn queening is disabled.

The populist.

Moves one square at a time and cannot take pieces, but when it is adjacent to a pawn, the pawn and any pawn that is in a square next to it flip colour.
You can add one more chess piece to the board. How does it move and what is it called?

The Bureaucrat. It can move to any unoccupied position on the board, but cannot capture pieces.

It's just there to get in the way and slow things down.
