So I'm manager on duty this weekend, I couldn't take off early Friday because my department director's already off that day, and she'll probably be out early tomorrow. That means I ended up taking an unexpected half day off today. I'm back home now. 😝

I switched back over to Sunlust, and while it's technically a harder WAD than Hell Revealed, it's also so much better designed that it doesn't necessarily feel that way. The fights are just so well balanced in Sunlust, and allow for strategic planning once you know what you're up against.
So yeah, I forgot that MAP07 is where the quality in Hell Revealed falls off a fucking cliff, and this is why I usually end up quitting somewhere in this stretch of maps. MAP09 especially is a pain in the ass, expecting you to lean on the berserk in situations where it's not viable at all!
Just to refresh my memory I replayed the first 5 maps (and part of MAP06) of Hell Revealed. They're not bad at all! They're not even as hard as the opening maps of Plutonia! Of course the WAD's infamous Baron spam doesn't come until later, but still: these early maps are well designed!
