Instead of giving our own money back to us, he could just cancel the fucking tariffs.
The White House is trying to tamp down Americans’ economic anxieties by dangling the prospect of tariff rebates and large tax refunds next year, hoping that the money might assuage voters who blame President Trump for their rising cost of living.
Trump Dangles Cash Payments to Assuage Affordability Concerns
With tariffs unpopular and prices still high, the White House has teased the promise of tariff rebates and large tax refunds next year.

FCC CHAIR BRENDAN CARR: My positio---

SCHATZ: It's a yes or no

BRENDAN CARR: We have jurisdiction with respect the broadcast airwaves to ensure their operations are int he public interest

(That's a yes!)

Markey to Carr: "Journalists were covering an important news stories and some conservatives were upset by the coverage, so you used your power as FCC chair to hang a Sword of Damocles over a local radio station's head. That's precisely what you warned about in 2022!"

KIM: Have you had a convo w/POTUS about using the FCC to go after critics?

CARR: Heheh. I don't get into the specifics of conversations

K: Would it be appropriate for him to give you direction to pressure media companies?

C: I'm not gonna get into hypotheticals

K: The easy answer is 'no'

Biden nominated Carr to remain a member of the FCC because he believed Carr's longstanding statements of support for an independent FCC focused on preserving freedom of expression on the airwaves were truthful, and not fraudulent.
They were fraudulent.
KIM: I want to read you a quote & see if you agree with it. 'Congress long ago determined that the FCC is an independent expert agency.' Is that correct?

CARR: Senator, there has been a sea change in the law & approach since I wrote that sentence

KIM: Yes you did. You said it in front of Congress

Every channel is about to be Fox News
PETERS: Will you commit you will not move to revoke any license for broadcasters or retaliate against companies merely for hosting content critical of POTUS?

CARR: Any broadcaster that complies with the public interest standard is not in any risk

P: And you get to determine the public interest

Buttigieg on Indiana Republicans: "To be clear, they didn't stop being Republicans. This is a conservative state. These are conservative legislators. But they figured out that the right thing to do and the smart thing to do was to say no to the White House, no to Donald Trump, and not to JD Vance."

Poor guy has to work with a system that ensures the people have a say in how they’re governed. Sounds awful.
He’d turn this country into North Korea in a second if he could.
Trump: "We have to be unified. China is unified because they have one vote -- that's President Xi. He says 'do it' and that's the end of that. We have a different system."

The ACC has a top-10ish team but the league might miss the CFP because that team didn't play for the title, because the conferences are too big and the ACC's best teams barely played each other at all.

Indiana was the worst team in college football for 150 years and then they let you start paying players and they immediately became No. 1 and the only conclusion one can draw is they were the only ones who didn’t realize you could pay players under the table for the first 150 years.

100% what’s going on and everyone seems to be onto it.
Alabama moving ahead of Notre Dame is utterly confounding. Nothing happened last weekend to warrant that.

Just reeks of the committee setting up Alabama to not fall out if it loses the SEC championship. And it's not supposed to think like that.
Miami still at 12, doesn't play this week, neither does Notre Dame, which fell to No. 10. Alabama moved up to No. 9. BYU is No. 11.

So with Miami and ND not playing, the question would seem to be if Alabama and BYU both lose convincingly, does Miami slip in?

try to imagine the media firestorm if the military was conducting strikes and obama, clinton, or biden said "i dont know anything about it" and how the media just shrugs at trump saying the same thing.
talking to reporters last night, Trump claimed of Hegseth's double tap strike that "I don't know anything about it," then moments later claimed "I don't who you're talking about" when asked his plan to pardon the former Honduran president

Reporter: If there were a second strike that killed wounded people, would that be legal?

Trump: I don’t know that happened and Pete said he did not even know what people were talking about. I wouldn’t have wanted a second strike. The first strike was very lethal. It was fine.
