A cool thing about taking the train to your doctor's appointment is that you can realize you forgot to check in online and hurriedly do that on the way rather than steaming in traffic because you can't type and drive at the same time

Felt stupid when I had to google "how many days are in march" but immediately felt better when the first suggestion was "how many days are in march in 2026"

this bears repeating:

Grok is bad because it's creating NONCONSENSUAL sexual images of real people.

Not because sex is icky and should be scrubbed from the Internet.

The distinction is crucial at a moment when dangerous censorship legislation is bipartisan and widely misunderstood

Communism is when poor people experience peace and/or happiness. Everyone knows that
liberals need to think long and hard about what these guys consider communism before they start thinking they're safe
Palantir co-founder says it exists to kill communists.

An underrated element of Nick Fuentes is that he is, as much as is possible today, a fully mask off nazi. Like, we can argue about kirk, and peterson, and Miller, and Bannon, etc, but Fuentes is just out here being an unambiguous nazi.

It's Christmas Eve, so that means it's time for my annual Christmas tradition: panic-wrapping the rest of my presents that I've been putting off and watching @bigjoel.bsky.social to keep the panic at bay

My whole timeline is made up of folks watching a 60 Minutes report the Trump administration tried to kill and unredacting Epstein files that weren't supposed to have been posted yet. Can't stop the signal.

There's never been a better time for people (both journalists and sources) to familiarize themselves with @securedrop.org, @torproject.org, and related tools
With the 60 minutes leak, the many recent Epstein releases, etc., I think we are seeing the future of government accountability under authoritarianism:

Leaks, hacks, data dumps, releases of big document caches.

Journalists and the public will have to learn how to digest this stuff. 🧵
