I wish I could bottle the feeling of getting through my first edit where the plot is all concrete so I could down it like a dollar shot of motivation when I'm in the middle of writing a story and think it is irredeemably shit

Self-doubt is contagious in the writing community, as it is in all creative spaces.
But I think I can be happy knowing I wrote my stories as best as I could at the time, and will learn and improve from every story I finish.
It's the zen ember that lets me finish stories.
