I wish I could bottle the feeling of getting through my first edit where the plot is all concrete so I could down it like a dollar shot of motivation when I'm in the middle of writing a story and think it is irredeemably shit

I've come to the very mature conclusion that making professions in your collectivist fantasy society into proper nouns seems neat... until you have to sort out the capitalization.

Self-doubt is contagious in the writing community, as it is in all creative spaces.
But I think I can be happy knowing I wrote my stories as best as I could at the time, and will learn and improve from every story I finish.
It's the zen ember that lets me finish stories.
