“Data indicates that CBP has far more allegations and arrests for abuse and corruption than other agencies and very little oversight … CBP personel have been arrested for corruption, sexual assault, aggravated assault, domestic violence, and sex crimes against children.”
“When the Border Patrol was created in 1924, white supremacists entered the agency, building the culture of xenophobia and impunity that exists to this day … CBP agents are arrested for criminal activity and corruption at a per-capita rate that exceeds any other federal agency.”

a big runoff last night, in New Orleans:

Calvin Duncan was exonerated after spending *28 years* in prison; he tried to get his own case records from the New Orleans city clerk—but the office dragged its feet.

So Duncan ran to become city clerk himself, and yesterday ousted the incumbent.

The reason why most women my age couldn't care less if Bill Clinton goes down with the ship is that we were teens & young women when the Anita Hill and Monica Lewinsky scandals happened. It's rotten to the core. All the way down. Your "lost" era is not ours.
Seriously, what is wrong with these people?

I hope this guy never gets another good pierogi in his lifetime.
Alan Dershowitz is one of those claiming Epstein was not a pedophile because he pleaded guilty to one count of having sex for money with a 17-year-and-10-month-old person. "That’s not a pedophile." See this important response from Julia Brown, the brave reporter who broke the news on this

Working on something involving sheriffs and recalls, and I am amused by a sheriff's ex-wife leading a recall effort against him and saying "this is not spite work." Sure, girl.

What a disappointment Buttigieg is.
Speaking at a Texas Tribune Festival on Friday, former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg criticized the Democratic Party for failing to reach everyday Americans, arguing that it “got sucked in” to a conversation about identity. #TribFest25

Yes. It isn’t fun.
Do political science profs have to explain to their students that, for most of American history, it was actually borderline unthinkable that elected officials and their spokespersons would constantly talk like trashy reality show contestants?
After calling Schumer a "Palestinian," Leavitt refers to "Gavin Newscum." So she's just ripping off her boss's smears now.

- NONE of the arrested were criminally charged
- NO evidence the building was "filled with TdA terrorists."
