Increasingly hard to ignore how British anti-trans-human-rights extremists appear to be putting Trans+ lives at risk far beyond the UK

"elite figures have copied the western right-wing playbook..[].., spreading the same anti-trans, anti-liberal, anti-woke and anti-secular agenda"
‘She narrowly escaped three bullets’: Pakistan’s trans community shaken by attacks and killings
A wave of violence has left transgender people afraid to go out, as experts say the global rise of far-right ideology is fuelling transphobia

I enjoyed working on the cover, and Cathy’s reimaginings of the original (kimmy) is definitely worth a read. Go check it out!
Into the Kimmehverse:

All 17 endings are written! @ellis-ralsei.bsky.social made a beautiful cover!

An anthology of alternate universes with some characters from Alyson Greaves’ novel (kimmy), exploring various ‘what if’ scenarios. Each story uses a different chapter as a jumping-off point.

Also new in Kimmyfics! @ellis-ralsei.bsky.social’s tale of revolutionary robots on the high seas!

Ellis wrote the first chapter and a significant portion of the second, before I suggested guiding the second chapter to a satisfactory conclusion as co-author.

the funniest thing about being a city politics reporter in your late teens and early 20s is politicians you’ve never spoken to wishing you happy birthday on facebook

Don't trust a New York Times reporter. Don't talk to a New York Times reporter. They are the most ambitious journalists on the planet and will do anything to get the story their editor wants. The truth doesn't matter to them, only getting the story their editor wants so they can move up.
heads up to anyone who holds trans kids near: amy harmon from the nyt is searching for and having a hard time finding people to interview to find out exactly what trans kids are doing when their care is limited or cut off, and for purposes of community safety, please shut the fuck up around her.

I absolutely love our tenth anniversary cover, beautifully illustrated by @badiucao.bsky.social, paying homage to the Gen Z protesters across Asia and the way they’ve embraced One Piece as a symbol of their determination for freedom and resistance 💪🏼
Really looking forward to everyone reading our tenth anniversary edition! It’ll be with our stockists in November, and is already at the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival bookstore 🤩🤩🤩

It does ruin some plots, though. You can’t do the thing anymore where you just have to get the thumb drive to the Times and then the evil politician or corporation will lose. The story would be spiked, or if it did go out, the target would post an AI video of them dropping liquid shit from a plane.

QRP your most popular piece on BSKY

I think it might actually be this one.

From a series of a few like this, drawn when Milo came out as a trans boy. Milo himself got most of them, but the Ozy one has the most likes for some reason.

Honestly neutral is just fine. In my ways I vastly preferred it when nobody thought about trans people at all most of the time. Even I didn’t think about us that much. That seems fairly normal to me.
guy who brought the trans flag we iwo jima’d described himself as “yeah i was pretty neutral about trans people, think i still am honestly, but these people are being so goddamn weird about it that i gotta get off the fence”

So… I’ve written a fanfic novel based on Alyson Greaves’ sci-fi novel of alienation and transformation, (kimmy).

You can read {steffy}, a novel in nine parts and seventy-two scenes:

The future of being trans on the internet
The internet has long been a source of information and support for transgender people. Now, trans rights and the internet itself are in a moment of crisis. What happens next?

ADF was basically behind the Keira Bell case and trans reporters were trying to note similarities between that case and how the group uses lawfare in the U.S. to attack trans rights.
yeah man, trans reporters, whom the ny times derogatorily calls "trans activists" so that normies won't listen to them, have been reporting on ADF activity in the UK since 2018.

bigotry in journalism makes you late to the story.
Really important NYT investigation finds that the ADF has been working with Reform, 'courting the party since at least 2024' and that the British arm 'orchestrated Mr Farage’s appearance in Congress, reaching out to ask if he would like to give evidence on censorship'
