I downloaded old iTunes. I'm struck by how much more customizable it is than Apple Music and the rest of it.
My iPod is also 17-year-old. 120GB. Works perfectly. Even got a Bluetooth adapter. No ads, no subscriptions, no tracking. Just a durable, functional device. Enshittification is real.

I moved away from streaming music and towards buying CDs or FLAC files a few months ago.
My biggest pet peeve is when songs just aren’t available to buy AT ALL.
I go out of my way to legally acquire them, but when I have to set my VPN to Japan to be able to buy Swedish music, I’ve had enough.

For the record: I think the best thing Something Awful did on the internet was implement a "We can just ban you if your vibes are off" policy, and I hope that's what we're seeing here.
