I was all ready to play Baldur's Gate 3 next year and then Larian just owned themselves and bad news followed bad news and now BG3 is uninstalled and they've killed whatever positive aura they had, incredibly rapid downfall following a trailer showing nothing

I think I'm tired of hearing every video and person start with Cena being "one of the greatest of all time" when he had the most bland forgettable matches, feuds were only good because of the other guy and at best I remember him for the Bin Laden announcement or that stupid Lightning Fist

Depending on how I count it, for 2025 I have finished either 109 games (counting Deltarune 1-4 as one game and THPS3+4 as one game) or 113 games if you count each part separate. Do I have time to finish one more game? I'm sure I could specifically find a short game but eh, we'll see

Finished Metroid Prime 4. I liked it a pretty good amount. Definitely more than 3 at least. A couple questionable things here and there but that's every Prime game. Lighting and environments, incredible. Bosses very fun. Areas memorable. Music super great when it's around.

This PS5/PC generation is so good regardless of which one you play on. Basically every big Japanese franchise that I enjoy is either back or possibly even better than ever. It actually looks like a continuation of the PS2 generation finally, it's just wonderful stuff

It's just so lame seeing people react to Clair Obscur being properly lauded negatively, as though they wanted people to like JRPGs but not "like that." For some people yeah it's their FF7 Moment, and just like back then, the people who already enjoy the genre can show them a whole world of games now

I think Super Meat Boy and the demo for Meat Boy 3D is like the perfect example of how much music matters to a game. I guess the redone OST to Super Meat Boy works too but it's the same here. That original OST by Danny Baranowsky was so immensely important to that game. 3D is fine but lacks impact

Put together one of my little charts for games I'm interested in next year. It's already looking like another all-timer, especially because of Capcom. You wouldn't know Nintendo has a brand new console looking at this though, hopefully a January Direct shows up big

I was interested in Pragmata from the start but the demo has launched my excitement for it into the stratosphere. That was so extremely fun and ran so smoothly, I cannot wait. In a year with a new main RE game and Onimusha somehow it's my most anticipated Capcom title (maybe overall game right now)

It's probably been a pretty good year when I have like a really strong top 25 game list but I look at another list and they have like a top 10 and 8 or 9 aren't on my list at all

The plus side of working really long hours during this time of year is I don't ever actually watch the Geoffs, I just get home and enjoy the individual trailers without giving that shill the time of day and also it takes like 1/10th the time

I might have misgivings about Prime 4's overall world but I do think it's kinda dumb to rag on it for being "more of the same." Maybe if you play Prime every month or year but the vast majority of people have played 1 game like this in the last 15 years and it's unique overall, happily take more
