Civil authority (DC police) are well capable of handling crime in DC and always have been. The city did not want troops deployed there and didn't ask for troops to be deployed there. It's Thanksgiving, they should be home with family.

More trivia. His great-great uncle was Thomas Hart Benton, Senator from Missouri. Senator Benton's daughter Jessie married explorer John C. Fremont. Bentonite (my favorite expansive clay) is named after a town named after him. The hometown of Walmart (Bentonville, AR) is named for the Senator too.
Missouri’s own Thomas Hart Benton was a U.S. Navy veteran, and a Democrat. (His father served as a Democrat in the U.S. House of Representatives in Missouri.)
I’ll bet Benton would have support the six Democratic lawmakers…and despised Donald Trump.

This is the machine that delivers my radiation and the torture table I have lay on. I don’t feel the radiation of course but getting on and off the table is a killer. All for 5 min of therapy. But today I went out for a bowl of pho with a friend afterwards and that was great!
