So is FIFA gonna give out a second peace prize in four years time? Or pretend this never happened. Or lean in and award a FIFA prize for literature too?

Big day: Just bought myself a laptop for the first time in 14 years. Or 10 years if buying your work laptop off your employer counts.
Screen resolution options on 13/14” laptops actually got worse in the last 10 years? They seem to max out at 2880x1800. My 10-year old Dell XPS 13 is better than that.

On the surface, the ISA changes in last week's UK budget had no changes for S&S ISAs. But the real picture might be quite different. youtu.be/knub0Rpg6PM

We are moving inexorably to the end point of electoral chaos - five parties all tied on 19% in the polls, election to be decided by blindfolded chimps chucking coloured darts at a constituency map
Westminster Voting Intention:

RFM: 25% (-2)
LAB: 19% (=)
CON: 18% (+1)
GRN: 16% (-1)
LDM: 15% (+2)
SNP: 3% (=)

Extraordinary film from the BBC’s archive. Marvel at Marty Feldman as he chats to pretty much everyone working in comedy in 1969.

My main question from the first couple of episodes of Pluribus is how they solve all the inevitable distributed systems problems.

Here's a chart of the marginal tax rate for someone with two kids. They pay 53% tax on every £ they earn between £60k and £80k. 62% on every £ they earn between £100k and £125k.

9% more if they've a student loan

I wonder if you could customise that 1X Neo home robot to look like the robots from the classic Tom Baker era Dr Who story "Pyramids of Mars".
