I’ve gotten a lot of new followers so I just want to let y’all know that I am extremely pro-Palestine, disabled and angry about the ongoing pandemic, and very politically radical. If this annoys you or you’re going to be annoying about it, please unfollow me!

but seriously… I’ve been mostly Offline lately and it’s been so good for me. I’m too old for this shit now. ✌🏼

Because they won’t do it himself—I’M BLASTING THE FUCK OUT OF THIS.

@walle132.bsky.social is in need of some mutual aid to cover some expenses and survival needs. I’d be here for days trying to encapsulate how beautiful of a person WallE is, but please consider helping if you can. 🖤

People will cling to the familiar even if it is killing them. If one doesn't understand this basic fact, then you will be so confounded on multiple levels.

I think I must have one of the coolest jobs in the world. I feel very tender and protective towards this work, so I’m not talking about it a lot publicly yet, but I feel so lucky to be able to do what I’m doing. To feel I am making an impact is a welcome feeling in the world we live in.

great news: I am finally getting a disability parking placard! even better news: the process was so easy I feel like something has gone wrong because things are usually not at all easy when it comes to disability and chronic illness and the government but this… was?!

I went home to Southeast L.A. to cover the immigration raids there. And this week I've covered the raids in my adopted home of NC. Nothing--and I mean NOTHING--will give you hope like speaking to immigrant organizers and locals fighting back.

today in ministry: “my granddaughter is lgbt. well, she’s one of these new ones. She’s nonbinary. I don’t actually know what that means.”

people think that being in ministry means you go around trying to convince people that god is real or something, but THIS is what it’s all about.

Of all my posts, this is the one that I wish would be shared widely. I hope people will donate to Bryan's legal defense, but even if you don't, it's important to be aware of the human rights horrors that are going on around us on a daily basis.
Please help Bryan, a decent and hardworking person who was just kidnapped off the street in DC. He has been in this country since he was a child. He has a business and a family. He does not deserve such shameful cruelty. Please share.

Some days people do things that make you really believe in the power of humanity to care for each other. Those moments are precious and can seem increasingly rare in this world, but I think if we look closely, we can find them everywhere. We are actually very good at finding ways to care.

I've had a little time to process this win, as well as the passing of brilliant disabled now-ancestor Alice Wong, and I just want to say: your life will change for the better if you take the time to encounter disabled art, in any medium. In every medium.
We are blown away to learn that A Haunting, Beloved has won Best Cast of an Actual Play (Video) at @nzwebfest.co.nz. We are so moved that our story about disability, grief, and love has meant so much to so many people. Here’s to more disabled art being in the world! 🫀🌹

This win means so much. It was a years-long wish of mine to make a story about disability with an all-disabled cast, and making this story with @kobanya.bsky.social, @thecandacemarie.bsky.social, @steadfastpetrel.bsky.social, @naladraws.com, and @bluebluebutton.bsky.social was a dream come true.

My friend Haneen in Gaza is still fundraising in the wake of the "ceasefire" (in quotes bc people are still being murdered). There are no jobs available to her family right now, and they need at least $1000 a month to pay rent. If you can help out, please do!
Help Haneen, Bassam, and Muhammad Survive
Haneen and Bassam are a young couple from Gaza. Their dreams are similar to those of many young couples: they want to live in peace, follow their ambitions, and have a family together. Despite facing ...

What a privilege it is to be a younger disabled person in a community shaped by Alice Wong. Rest in peace, Alice.

Alice Wong was one of the most effective people challenging the Whiteness of disability communities and its many flaws, but who believed fiercely in us as a community, in disabled people as oracles.

Alice brought so much to so many of us, it’s hard to measure the kind of gratitude I have for that.

One way I have found to mourn someone is to set up a monthly sustaining donation to a mutual aid effort they cared about. If you can join me in honoring Alice Wong, @sfdirewolf.bsky.social with a sustaining donation today, please do. Thank you Alice, and I will not let the bastards grind me down.

Alice is an icon among disability justice icons. One of the baddest bitches to live. She made a way for herself & everyone who follows her in the world of disability representation. A literal (MacAurther) genius. Her impact is immeasurable. I can’t believe she’s gone.

Oh, what a powerful life Alice lived! She will be among my beloved ancestors of spirit for all the ways she has blessed and transformed the many communities she was part of. Her loss is felt keenly, and so much wisdom is left in her wake. Thank you, Alice, for everything.
Our beloved Alice Wong has joined the ancestors. It was one of the great honors of my life to call Alice my friend, co-author & co-conspirator. She was a true genius, a force of nature the likes of which the world has never seen before. I love you, Alice, and am equal parts grateful and devastated

I don't mean to be Pollyanna on main but on day 3 of my introspections about the ttrpg space I do wonder what it might be like if more of our discussions were rooted in what brings joy and generative energy rather than what we dislike.
