ME/CFS affects ~half of people w/Long Covid, and has overlapping symptoms w/many more. If your GP doesn’t know where to start, the US ME/CFS Clinician Coalition’s recs are a great place.

there is no cure for covid or long covid. Everyone is trial and erroring drugs for symptom management. However it is malpractice for your doctor to tell you there is literally nothing to try. Or if they just give you depression meds. Many people have symptom improvement from off-label medications.

Long COVID is REAL. I went from healthy to bedbound.
+65M+ worldwide are suffering. +Symptoms: fatigue, brain fog, dizziness, heart palpitations, hair loss, & more.

If you know someone with ‘mysterious symptoms’, it’s likely Long COVID, not perimenopause. Don’t ignore it. #LongCovidAwarenessDay

A study in Nature Neuroscience shows that brain inflammation in COVID-19 correlates with viral load, systemic inflammation and virus-sensing pattern recognition receptors. Microglial dysfunction occurs at sites of vascular inflammation with myelin injury and synapse loss. 🧪

Here's a major source of microplastics in soils.
Other sources, astonishingly, include the *deliberate application* of microplastics, to make soils more friable, and the plastic pellets in which many fertilisers are encased.
It is simply crazy and must stop now.

THIS is something I really wish able-bodied people understood. It's pretty much ME/CFS in a nutshell. I might be able to push through fatigue & other symptoms to do a task, but I'll almost certainly crash for days, weeks, or even permanently change my symptom baseline. There's always a cost.
Having a disability or chronic pain is not only about limitations when you can't do something. It's also about the price you are paying for doing something.

"Stop killing people" pretty much sums up my politics these days, whether we're talking genocide, covid, the environmental/healthcare/housing crisis, food insecurity, police brutality, lack of disability rights, attacks on LGBTQ+ folx, no access to reproductive medical care, etc etc etc. Just stop.
