The problem with The Beatles, like Dr Who and like lots of things is men think it's just for them. The kind of men who had "No girls!" on their treehouse door. Guy can go fuck himself, which he presumably has to.

I don't normally do this sort of thing but honestly, fuck off Guy...

In the interest of 'balance' at the BBC, can't we have a counter-coup to turf out Tory embed Robbie Gibb?

It is now the most serious crisis in its history. But paradoxically because it isn't over a major error, but because it has given into hate and political pressure over a tiny one. So it either now has to push back and restore its values or it is lost forever.
The BBC is hopeless at reporting on itself. The idea that a minor, if misleading, edit is the most serious crisis in its history is ludicrous self-absorption, even allowing for the context of a Faragite desire to break it. It's certainly not as serious as the Iraq-Gilligan crisis.

What's it like to return to your home town years after leaving?

This poem from Whatever You Do, Just Don't finds that nothing's changed. But then everything's changed too...

It’s my birthday today. You know how some people ask for donations to charity on their birthdays? Well, if you so wish, you could make a donation to the actors’ trust on my behalf (via my Kickstarter obviously)
Here’s a piece about why I’m supporting them

When you've seen all the Star Wars films several times over, it can be easy to forget *just* how awe inspiring the opening shot in the original one is
a space ship is flying over a planet with a small moon in the background
Alt: The opening shot from the original 1977 Star Wars film, later dubbed A New Hope. It features the ship Tantive IV, engaged in battle with a much larger chasing Imperial Star Destroyer, viewed from below.

My hokey, hastily thought out opinion on Celebrity Traitors

People shouldn't fear diversity. Not just of race and sexuality though, but of education, skillset, personality type, ambition, financial leverage, cultural taste, sense of humour. Aspiring to monoculture is to waste the richness of life.
