i have the custom higher tune strings installed on this btw, its a lot of fun to noodle around on. i've always enjoyed the space between strings to idly fingerpick melodies but it was rarely a useful technique but this has like a kind of harp like timbre/range
this is what's getting the custom gauge treatment. it's a cheap Chinese knockoff but a solid one. aftermarket pickups, sanded down the neck, I redid the wiring myself. this thing is bad ass and I'm excited for an excuse to play it again
