my least favourite thing about Skate 4 is how your character has a 1-in-8 chance of extravagantly and dramatically bailing from a trick for no reason at all. It would be funny if it didn't constantly get in the way of me trying to complete combos and challenges.

The Scorpion King: Rise if the Akkadian (PS2) would definitely rank, if not for the mechanic where if you don't find enough optional pickups throughout the game then you don't deal enough damage to kill the final boss, making it more or less impossible to beat.

Casual reminder that you should set your posting options on here to force you to include alt text on your image and video posts. Adding alt text to them takes like ten extra seconds and isn't that hard, you need to be adding it to everything.

Always surreal to see devs say stuff like "Such an honor to have worked on such an amazing project <3" on LinkedIn posts with a huge LOOKING FOR WORK badge on their icons because the studio that launched the game they worked on also immediately laid them off afterwards.

it's this one and to be fair it's not "about" game development it's about two people who get a week-long deadline to make an entire app and then spend most of it going on dates and doing fun activities and then the game magically gets finished at the end

- very little navigational space and many bumps to destroy your navmesh
- clipping issues with overhead terrain
- limited use of landmarks (everything looks the same)
- no natural light sources (+ fights with covering cracks in geo)
- caves are never modular

If you've never been to Gaza, you won't appreciate what the yellow line means. Basically Israel now holds most of Gaza's small but important agricultural land. Continued Israeli occupation, which I judge the likely outcome, makes Gaza even more unliveable and more dependent on outside goods.

ICE is all over the city and burbs today, including Waukegan. Multiple reports on social media from people who have found empty work vans and are trying to locate family of their owners. This is a near daily occurrence now.
